Congratulations to Principal Janice Dalton on being recognized as the November 2018 FCPS Cares Recipient of the Month for Region 4 by the Department of Human Resources. Congratulations, Principal Dalton!

Below is the write up submitted by Ms. Marissa Williamson, a colleague of Principal Dalton's. 

Janice is our principal and fearless leader. She prides herself on positive relationships, doing what's best for kids, and self-reflection. Janice practices what she preaches. Last week, she came into the staff lounge to eat lunch with teachers just to say hello. She is present in the building, popping into rooms, supporting her staff, celebrating the positives and always encouraging growth. She has her teacher's back by being a listening ear when they are problem-solving, attending CLTs, and supporting school committees such as the social committee. She makes time to do the big and little things, which seems impossible giving her job duties. She is always sharing her positive vibes through kudos notes for staff members. The notes are personalized and about a specific interaction, she observed or had with you making them meaningful and authentic. I know she cares about her staff and she lets them know it!
