Parent Volunteers
Parents and guardians are welcome to volunteer at Laurel Hill in a variety of ways. Whether you have a few hours or a few days to offer, we have plenty of opportunities!
Classroom Volunteers
Most teachers welcome parent volunteers to help out in the classroom. Parents assist by making classroom materials, chaperoning field trips, and helping to plan class parties, among other things. If you are interested in volunteering in your child's classroom, please contact the teacher. You'll find a list of staff e-mail addresses on our Staff Directory page.
Other School Volunteers (Library, Cafeteria, etc.)
Our library is in need of volunteers to shelve books. If you're available during the school day and would like to help, please contact our Librarian, Mrs. Hassouni.
If you'd like to assist in the cafeteria during lunchtime, please contact the front office (703-551-5300).
PTA Volunteers

FCPS Cares
FCPS Cares is an opportunity for parents, staff, and community members to recognize FCPS employees for going above and beyond to help others and show they care. We invite you to submit your story so we can all acknowledge the good work of FCPS employees.
Business and Community Partnerships
The Business and Community Partnerships office’s primary functions are to recruit and supports Ignite Partnerships, serve as a liaison to local Chambers of Commerce and other community organizations, help lead the annual Collect for Kids school supply drive, manage the FCPS Donations Portal for donated goods, and promote the Savings for Staff merchant discount program.
In the last decade, the Business & Community Partnerships team has helped secure over ten million dollars in donations of money and valued goods through partnerships and direct donations, not including the value of volunteer hours contributed by partners and mentors.
