edward kearCongratulations to Building Supervisor Edward Kear who was recognized at the annual FCPS Honors event as the 2019 Region 4 Outstanding Operational Employee and one of five finalists for this year's Outstanding Operational Employee Award!

Mr. Kear is a hardworking, kind, and caring individual. During lunchtime, Mr. Kear makes it a point to connect with the students by walking around the cafeteria and encouraging them to finish their food so they aren’t hungry later. Mr. Kear takes pride in maintaining a clean, beautiful, and safe school environment that welcomes the faculty, students, parents, and community who enter the building. His number one goal is to make sure Laurel Hill Elementary School is a great school for the kids in Fairfax County. He cares deeply about the students, teachers, and administrators at Laurel Hill and it shows every day in his work.

Congratulations also to the other Laurel Elementary School staff members recognized at FCPS Honors!
